Vibe Engineering with Claude Code
What it is
“Vibe Engineering with Claude Code” was a conference talk delivered at BSidesOK Tulsa in April 2026. The presentation was itself built using the methodology it described: a custom local FastAPI server backed a reveal.js slide deck, while a co-presenting Claude Code session listened to the room via Whisper.cpp and edited the slides in real time during the talk.
The project demonstrated practical AI-assisted (“vibe”) engineering — using frontier LLM tools not just to write code, but to orchestrate multi-component systems, handle live feedback loops, and ship something unconventional under conference-day constraints. The stack included approximately 34 slides, 83 passing tests, and a presenter view on iPad via macOS Sidecar.
Status
Talk delivered April 9, 2026. The underlying presentation platform is a candidate for generalization into a reusable deck-swappable system for future talks.
